The VR1.5 is a 1.5 volt power supply that converts 12 volts from your T series decoder to 1.5 volts to directly power 1.5 volt bulbs. This is an external to the decoder power supply that can be connected to the T series decoders. This is a new product to the DCC industry. All T series decoders are now shipping with a six pin auxiliary connector to connect with the VR1.5. The VR1.5 can also be used with other decoders besides the T series. Or it can be used be used as a stand alone voltage regulator as long as you supply it with 12 volts power in. To use it with other decoders simply connect the blue wire to positive 12 volts and the black /white strip wire to negative or ground of the decoder.

Specifications:     The VR1.5 works with 8 to 20 volts input. Output rating is 1.5 volts at 120ma maximum. Recommended input is 13 volts.
