From 1906 to 1913, the Rock Island aquired a large number of cabooses built to essentially the same plan, though build by three different car builders. These double-sheathed wood cabooses reflect the 1940s and early 1950s. Prototype photos by Emery Gulash, Lou Schmitz, Charles Franzen and Lamar Kemp. Addtional credits and acknowledgements accompany each photo.
